Raw video: High speed chase in Central Georgia tops out at 140 mph

In Central Georgia, authorities were engaged in a high-speed chase that reached a top speed of 140mph. The incident was captured on raw video and has since gone viral on social media.

The footage shows multiple patrol cars trailing the suspects’ vehicle as it weaves through traffic, narrowly avoiding collisions with other vehicles on the road. The driver of the suspect vehicle can be seen frantically dodging in and out of lanes, in an attempt to evade the pursuing police.

    make note kids, the officer kept the perfect distance away from the suspect if you look at it in terms of seeing what he's doing as far as exiting the freeway or doing any other fool thing he had time to redirect.

    What I never will understand. For how long do those idiots think they can hide? Other than stacking up the felonies and putting the lives of others at risk running away from the cops does absolutely nothing.

    They say that the driver has no respect for the public
    And that the driver was endangering the public

    But
    The officers aren’t by driving over 100 to keep up with the persons in the car

    When they should have a helicopter or a drone follow the car until it stops then grab the suspects

    To many officers and cops for these chasing cars and suspects with the traffic now days

    Not anywhere near close to 140. And the car they were chasing won't even get near that speed. I watched the whole video and as a track driver can tell you they never got close to 140. Maybe 100 but no where near 140. I have seen several videos like this where the police will lie and claim speeds that most cars aren't capable of..

    I can comprehend how that car pulled some distance on that Charger at the beginning. I drive a Hemi LX car, and the cop was definitely NOT FULL THROTTLE after the initial start of the chase. He did at first, but then let off. Why? He could have run that car down and PITed him within seconds, but did not. Why?
