Kenneth F. Adams Obituary – Lebanon Daily News


Kenneth F. Adams, of Cornwall Manor, formerly a longtime resident of Mifflin Park, Reading, died on July 5 at the age of 96. Ken was born in Reading, the son of Stanley M. and Kathryn E. Adams.

Ken was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Alma B. “Becky” Adams. He is survived by a nephew, David Shirey and his wife Cynthia of Womelsdorf, and by cousins in Reading, New Jersey and California.

Ken was a 1945 graduate of Reading High and 1947 graduate of Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute. He completed a professional apprenticeship at Textile Machine Works, launching a six-decade career at the same organization as it evolved into Rockwell International and later Arrow International. Ken retired from Arrow as Supervisor of Industrial Engineering.

Kenny enjoyed golfing and was competitive, earning a shelf full of trophies over the years. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Ken loved dogs, and saw that several were well cared for. He was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s UCC, Reading.
