Missing 8-year-old from Ventura found uninjured

A Ventura boy reported missing Sunday night has been found, Ventura Police officials said Monday morning.

Around 8:30 p.m., authorities received a 911 call from the mother of an 8-year-old boy. He apparently was last seen in the late afternoon riding his bike near their Ramona Street apartment complex. Police said officers searched door to door and used a drone to find the child. A VC Alert notification also was sent to local residents.

At 7:35 a.m. Monday, police said the boy was found with another missing child on the bicycle path near Highway 33. He was uninjured and reunited with his family, authorities said. The other missing child also was a boy reported missing Sunday, police said.
