No charges in Britney Spears-Victor Wembanyama slap incident
The slap heard around the NBA Summer League won’t come with any legal consequences.
On Friday, the Las Vegas Police Department said no charges will be filed against Spurs head of security Damian Smith, who reportedly hit Britney Spears as she sought a photo with top 2023 NBA Draft pick Victor Wembanyama on Wednesday night.
“The LVMPD has concluded its investigation of the alleged battery that occurred on July 5, 2023, at 11 p.m., in the 3700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard,” officials stated on Friday. “No charges will be filed against the person involved.”
