Norbert “Nub” William Antor was born June 21, 1925 to Frank and Minnie Antor. The third of six children, he spent his childhood on the family farm in Alpine Township, attending Holy Trinity Catholic School and then graduating from Comstock Park High School. He was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Norbert served in the Army during WWII and was wounded during a fierce battle in Anzio, Italy in 1944. He spent the next years in military hospitals before being discharged in 1946. Returning home, he met Florence “Flo” Grasiewicz, and they married in 1949. Together, Nub and Flo built the one and only home they would live in during their 74 years of marriage. Nub began his career at Lear Siegler Aviation in Grand Rapids, where he would work for 35 years. Nub and Flo had 6 children, and life revolved around joyfully supporting each child’s school activities, attending sporting events, and enjoying all that the outdoors offer,…
