Pitt 2024 4-Star DE Target Commits to Penn State


Mylachi Williams is staying in Pennsylvania, but he will not be doing so in Pittsburgh.

Williams — a 6-foot-5, 215-pound four-star defensive end from Monsignor Bonner in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania — committed to Penn State Saturday night over a list of finalists that included Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse and Texas A&M.

He made official visits to Penn State (June 9), Syracuse (June 16) and Pitt (June 22) in the month of June, and he held offers from the likes of Boston College, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

His relationship with Pitt began back in January when the Pitt coaching staff extended him an offer, and obviously, the communication — and a Jan. 21 visit — led to an official visit last month. But obviously, Penn State earned his commitment in the end.
