Richard Alston Drever, Jr.
February 9, 1936 – June 6, 2023
Richard Drever was born and raised in Kearny, New Jersey, the son of Richard and Dorothy (Farrer) Drever. A graduate of Columbia University in New York, Dick served for two years on active duty as a Navy ASW officer aboard the USS Wiseman in the Pacific and then returned to Columbia for his Masters Degree in Architecture.
Dick moved his family to California and joined the San Francisco architecture firm of Rex Allen and Associates, later becoming a partner in Rex Allen Drever Lechowski. His firm specialized in hospital and health care projects and Dick served as Principal for projects in California, Nevada, Arizona and Alaska. In 1983, Dick established Drever Consulting and Architecture in partnership with his wife Jane.
