  1. To be clear, I don't know how long the break's going to be. At least three months, probably quite a bit more than that. I'm making no plans and no promises! But I want to get to ten years.

  2. Legend!
it is far more than decereved for you with a bit of holiday!
I hope you can go out in the world and travel and see something you where not expecting. Best of luck to you

  3. I was pondering something….. Is it fortune or hubris that makes one say that after ten years, it's time for a change? I wonder how the farmer feels about that. Or the fisherman, or the rancher…. πŸ™‚

  4. 1 video a week for 10 years means that if I watched one video a day, every day, for a year straight, it would take almost a year and a half to watch them all.

    Take a break. You're good.

  5. One of the delightful elements of Tom Scott's style is that even though he is far too engaged by far too many people to be personal, to really pay attention to everyone, his viewers have never seen him flip from a very intimate, personable style to something more mass-media, styles more pop culture, newsy, or disengaged. He always seems like he is talking directly to us, and even though he knows he is lecturing, he delivers his presentation like a conversation, as if he was aware of our facial expressions or our little noises "Hmm" "I see" "No way!" We always feel like we are right there with him. And for someone who literally cannot send enough email replies, who probably already has more unread emails and messages than he could read in 2 lifetimes, that is, in itself, a colossal achievement in literature and, I dunno, I guess dramatic arts or rhetoric? it deserves an Oscar for Best Documentary, once the 10 years are complete.

  6. I love you big bro, after watching your Vaping disappeared video, and thanks a lot for making awareness. Lots of love to you from India, see you some day.

  7. Tom, I'd love to see you do a video on the Dreamlifter aircraft. I've seen this aircraft from a distance here in Wichita, Kansas many times while I served at McConnell Air Force Base, but I think you would be able to do a really great up close and personal video about it. In any case, enjoy your well deserved upcoming time off from making videos. Go and enjoy yourself.
